Senior Production Operator

We are supporting an oil & gas operator in the UAE with the search for an experienced Senior Production Operator to join their Artificial Island production team. The successful candidate will be involved in the safe and efficient operation of oil production, gas and water injection units, and associated surface facilities—working closely with drilling and maintenance teams during SIMOPS and well interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor oil, gas, and water injection systems, including multi-phase flow meters, pig launchers/receivers, hydraulic safety cabinets, and production pumps.
Supervise or assist with well operations: opening/closing wellhead valves, choke adjustments, flow testing, and system isolation for maintenance.
Conduct site rounds, record equipment parameters, and report anomalies or deviations from operating norms.
Support SIMOPS coordination with drilling rigs—understand bridging emergency plans, well handovers, and inter-discipline interfaces.
Perform well integrity tests, collect production and annuli samples, and conduct chemical injections and treatments.
Safely depressurize systems using vent pots, manage hydrocarbon liquids, and ensure use of inerting systems where required.
Familiarity with PTW, SIS, F&G systems, cause & effect matrices, and shutdown hierarchies.
Contribute to re-commissioning activities post-maintenance and participate in inspections, vessel entry certification, and temporary system installations.
Adhere strictly to HSE policies and ensure site cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
Requirements:
5–10+ years’ experience in upstream oil & gas production operations, ideally on artificial islands or remote production facilities.
Knowledge of surface wellhead systems, chemical metering units, emergency shutdown systems, and production reporting procedures.
Strong understanding of H2S safety, PTW systems, and SIMOPS protocols.
Physically fit and able to work in challenging, high-temperature environments on a rotational schedule.
Previous experience in Abu Dhabi or UAE oilfield operations is highly desirable.
