Commissioning Engineer – Instrumentation & Electrical (Oil & Gas Projects)

We are representing a major EPC contractor in the UAE seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a high-performing team on a large-scale upstream oil & gas project. The ideal candidate will have strong field expertise across instrumentation and electrical systems, with full-cycle involvement from engineering through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.

  • Review and interpret project documentation including P&IDs, IO lists, loop diagrams, datasheets, and control philosophies.

  • Manage field activities including loop checks, calibration, SCADA/PLC testing, F&G systems, ELV, CCTV, and interposing relay panels.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth handover and integration.

  • Maintain and submit all required commissioning documentation such as checklists, loop folders, and red markups.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

  • Minimum 8 years of commissioning experience in the oil & gas sector, ideally on ADNOC projects.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, safety standards, and testing protocols.

  • Hands-on experience with SCADA, control panels, field devices, and instrumentation validation.

  • Proficient in using testing and calibration tools.

  • Willing to work in demanding outdoor site conditions.
