Job Title: Senior Process Engineer – Oil & Gas Operations

Position Overview:
Our client, a leading energy company, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide day-to-day engineering support for site operations. This role focuses on ensuring safe and efficient operations by managing process risks, addressing technical queries, and implementing minor modifications. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Brownfield Engineering team to optimize production capacity, improve efficiency, and enhance overall plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote a culture of safety, open reporting, and continuous improvement.
Provide front-line support to Operations and Maintenance teams for resolving process issues.
Identify, assess, and mitigate process engineering risks to enhance asset integrity.
Participate in asset and project risk assessments, anomaly investigations, and root cause analyses.
Monitor process equipment performance, operating envelopes, and key process indicators (KPIs), initiating corrective actions as needed.
Support technical Management of Change (MOC) processes and respond to Engineering Queries.
Act as a technical liaison with Projects and Modifications teams, contributing to Statements of Requirements (SORs), Project Initiation Requests (PIRs), and Decision Support Packages (DSPs).
Drive production efficiency improvements and defect elimination initiatives.
Maintain and optimize process simulation models (e.g., HYSYS) to improve production output.
Serve as the technical custodian of critical site drawings and registers (P&IDs, PFDs & LVR).
Support startup readiness and assurance reviews for new projects.
Mentor and coach junior engineers to develop their technical expertise.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with an International Oil Company (IOC) or as a contractor.
Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership) preferred.
Strong background in process engineering, asset operations, and production optimization.
Hands-on experience with process simulation tools such as HYSYS.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office, document management systems, CMMS, and Change Management applications.
Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
