Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits.

Job Description:

Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting the company's digital assets, identifying and mitigating security risks, and implementing advanced security measures. This mid-senior level role requires a deep understanding of cyber security principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Security Strategy and Implementation:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security strategies and policies.

    • Design and deploy security architectures to protect sensitive data and systems.

  2. Threat Detection and Response:

    • Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

    • Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.

  3. Risk Management:

    • Perform risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and prioritize security risks.

    • Develop and execute risk mitigation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.

  4. Security Tools and Technologies:

    • Evaluate, implement, and manage advanced security tools and technologies.

    • Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and industry best practices.

  5. Compliance and Audits:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).

    • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to maintain compliance and improve security posture.

  6. Security Awareness and Training:

    • Develop and deliver security awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices.

    • Provide guidance and training to IT staff on security-related topics and procedures.

  7. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of the business.

    • Communicate security findings, risks, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on risk management, threat detection, and incident response.

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).

  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and securing cloud environments.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
