Own Level 1–5 commissioning across multiple 20–80 MW builds/expansions in Texas. You’ll lead Cx planning, execution, integrated systems testing (IST), issues management, and handover—partnering tightly with design, construction, and operations to deliver first-time-right startups.
Key responsibilities
Build the end-to-end Cx plan: L1–L5 strategy, schedules, FAT/SAT witness plans, risk register, and RACI.
Lead on-site MEP commissioning of MV/LV power trains (gens, MV switchgear, UPS, PDU/RPP), mechanical plants (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, CW/DX), and controls (BMS/EPMS).
Drive IST execution and incident response; manage NCRs, punch, and functional exceptions to closure with RCA and corrective actions.
Coordinate vendor/GC trades; ensure start-up readiness (spares, firmware, as-builts, O&M, redlines, training).
Own quality & safety during Cx: LOTO/PTW, method statements, lift plans, and live-system risk controls.
Standardize templates/playbooks; capture lessons learned to accelerate next builds.
Report weekly to executives: readiness dashboard, risk heatmap, critical path, burn-down of issues.
Candidate profile (must-haves)
10+ years in critical facilities or heavy MEP commissioning; 5+ years in data centers with multiple sites delivered.
Deep knowledge of electrical (gens/UPS/switchgear) and mechanical (chillers/CRAH/CRAC) systems and their controls (BMS/EPMS).
Proven IST leadership on 20–80 MW phases; track record of on-time TCO with minimal rework.
Comfortable managing OEMs/GCs and negotiating COs tied to Cx scope.
Expert communicator with crisp, executive-grade reporting.
BS in EE/ME/Construction (or equivalent experience). CxA/Uptime/PE/PMP a plus.
