Lead process safety for brownfield tie-ins gas projects. You’ll keep engineers and construction honest on inherently safer design, HAZOP/LOPA, SIL, and start-up readiness—hands-on, minimal bureaucracy.
Own the Process Safety Management (PSM) plan from FEED handover through EPC and pre-startup reviews (PSSR).
Facilitate/close out HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA; track actions to mechanical completion and start-up.
Define and verify SIS/SIL lifecycle deliverables (SRS, proof-test intervals, bypass/override rules); align with IEC 61511.
Author and enforce QRA, ALARP and bow-tie deliverables; update MAH register, safety case inputs, and SCE performance standards.
Set practical operability & overpressure controls (relief sizing checks, flare integration, PSV lists, blowdown).
Issue construction-friendly PTW/SIMOPS and energy-isolation guidance for hot work and sour-service tie-ins.
Run MOC discipline for design/construction changes; approve deviations and temporary defeats with expiry.
Support commissioning with start-up risk assessments, cause-&-effect validation, and emergency response drills.
Coach a lean team (1–2 process/PS engineers) and uplift templates/checklists used on site.
You bring
10+ years in process/process safety for Oil & Gas (onshore), including sour gas or HP/HT exposure.
Strong track record running HAZOP/LOPA, closing actions, and proving SIL compliance in EPC environments.
Comfortable on site: reading P&IDs, walking lines, resolving punch items with construction.
Working knowledge of API/ASME, IEC 61511, ADNOC/Company specs; relief/flare and blowdown fundamentals.
Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (or related). Clear, practical communicator.
