Our client is a top-tier data center developer/owner scaling AI-ready campuses. They need a Director of Power Delivery who can secure capacity, drive substation delivery, and protect energization dates—because power is the schedule.

Role overview

Own the end-to-end power delivery program across multiple sites: utility relationships, interconnect agreements, substations, MV distribution sequencing, and readiness gates to Commissioning/IST.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead utility strategy: feasibility, queue positioning, interconnect agreements, outages, and capacity reservations.

  • Deliver substations (60–230 kV) from siting/permits through EPC, testing, and energization.

  • Own long-lead electrical risk (transformers, switchgear, breakers) and expediting plans.

  • Drive cross-functional readiness with Construction/Cx/Ops; publish MW-to-plan dashboards and risk heatmaps.

  • Manage easements/ROW/permitting and commercial terms (cost-share, CO/EOT, claims avoidance).

Candidate profile

  • 12–15+ years in T&D/mission-critical; multiple data center or comparable large power programs delivered.

  • Proven record energizing large loads (50–300+ MW) on schedule.

  • Strong executive communication; comfortable negotiating with utilities and major EPCs.
