We’re supporting a mid-tier operator/EPC in Basra accelerating brownfield upgrades at CPF and water-injection facilities. They’re hiring an Instrumentation & Control Commissioning Engineer to take packages from MC to safe start-up.
Role at a glance
Own loop checks, functional testing, and cause-and-effect validation across DCS/PLC/ESD/F&G—closing punch fast and handing over clean dossiers.
Key responsibilities
Plan and execute pre-commissioning/commissioning: loop folders, instrument calibration, JB/marshalling, cause-and-effect.
Lead functional tests on DCS/PLC/ESD/F&G, analyzers, and packaged skids; align with Operations for SIMOPS/LOTO.
Manage ITPs, redlines/as-builts, and MC/RFSU documentation; drive defects to closure.
Interface with E&I construction for quality, RFIs, and look-ahead constraints removal.
Candidate profile
10+ years I&C in onshore O&G (CPF/water injection preferred).
Hands-on with loop/functional testing, hot/cold commissioning, and vendor FAT/SAT.
Clear English reporting; Arabic a plus. Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation/Electrical.
