We are looking for Iraqi nationals to own HSE leadership at rig and wellsite across workovers, recompletions, ESP change-outs, CT stim/cleanouts, and slickline/wireline operations. You’ll run the permit system, lead SIMOPS, coach crews, and drive zero-harm performance without big-company bureaucracy.
What you’ll do
Lead PTW/LOTO/JSA and ensure barrier management and well control readiness (H₂S, BOP, emergency drills).
Plan and audit SIMOPS with Production/Construction (line breaks, hot work, lifting, confined space).
Conduct daily HSE briefings, toolbox talks, and behavior observations; close actions fast.
Verify critical controls: gas detection, breathing air, rig-up/rig-down, pressure testing, lifting equipment and certifications.
Investigate incidents/NM/HI; run RCA and implement practical corrective actions; update risk registers.
Assure contractor compliance (rig, CT, WL/SL, pumping, nitrogen); track KPIs and intervene on trends.
Keep documentation tight: PTW packs, JSA library, SIMOPS plans, emergency response drills, and regulatory logs.
Partner with Wells Superintendents and Company Man to keep NPT/ILP down through safe, efficient execution.
You bring
8–12+ years HSE in drilling/workover or well services (onshore).
Solid command of IADC/API practices, H₂S safety, lifting operations, and pressure control at the wellsite.
Confident leading multicultural contractor crews; clear English reporting (Arabic a plus).
Recognized HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH) and current H₂S/BA/First Aid; incident investigation training (TapRooT or similar) preferred.
Basra field experience and Iraqi permitting/site access familiarity.
ESP/workstring, CT acid/cleanouts, fishing exposure; knowledge of dropped-object and line-of-fire programs.
