Lead day-to-day electrical & instrumentation construction on a gas projects and small EPC packages. You’ll run workfronts, keep SIMOPS safe, drive productivity, and hand a clean job to pre-commissioning without.
Workface leadership: break down IFCs into executable tasks; issue look-ahead plans, constraints list, and permit requests.
SIMOPS & PTW/LOTO: manage isolations, line breaks, hot work, and live-plant interfaces with Operations/HSE.
E&I installation quality: cable trays/supports, pulling & dressing, terminations/glanding/earthing, JB/marshalling panels, MV/LV switchgear, lighting & small power.
Instrumentation: hook-ups, impulse tubing, instruments on skids/lines/vessels, analyzer shelters; verify ranges/orientation.
Inspection & testing: ITP hold/witness points, IR/PI, continuity, torque checks, loop checks with pre-comm; punch-list ownership to MC.
Docs & redlines: as-built markups, cable schedules, loop folders; close RFIs and field change notices fast.
Contractor & crew management: allocate manpower, toolbox talks, KPI/productivity tracking, and subcontractor oversight (scaffolding, lifts, cranes).
Logistics & materials: MTO vs. site stock, reserving critical spares, expediting shortfalls with Procurement.
Reporting: daily site log, progress % vs. plan, safety observations, constraints, and 7-day look-ahead to the Construction Manager.
Requirements
10+ years E&I construction on brownfield Oil & Gas (onshore), including tie-ins/shutdowns.
Strong grasp of IEC/IEEE/ATEX, hazardous-area installation, and MV/LV switchgear works.
Hands-on with loop/functional checks and turnover dossiers (MC/RFSU readiness).
Comfortable running multiple crews and a main E&I subcontractor.
Clear English reporting; UAE/ADNOC experience is a plus. Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation (or equivalent).
