Our client is accelerating brownfield well interventions across multiple fields in Basra (workovers, recompletions, ESP change-outs, CT stim, slickline). They need a Wells Site Supervisor to lead safe, efficient execution at the wellsite—owning HSE, program delivery, contractor performance, and daily reporting.
Key responsibilities
Lead HSE at location (PTW, JSA, SIMOPS, H2S readiness); drive zero-harm culture with service companies and rig crew.
Execute the approved workover/well services program: well kill, pull/replace completion, fishing, ESP/workstring work, CT acid/cleanouts, WL/SL interventions.
Ensure well control at all times; maintain barrier integrity and verify BOP/function tests per program and standards.
Manage contractors (rig, CT, WL/SL, pumping, nitrogen, testing): pre-job briefs, KPI tracking, and cost/time control.
Optimize operations: reduce NPT/ILP, verify critical calculations (tallies, torque/drag, volumes, pressures).
Coordinate logistics and materials (tubulars, ESPs, chemicals, tools); ensure QA/QC and proper storage/handling.
Run the daily morning call; issue DDR, cost tracker, and look-ahead; raise MOCs and deviation requests as needed.
Assure compliance with company standards and applicable API/IADC practices; close out lessons learned.
Candidate profile (must-haves)
8–12+ years’ wells/site supervision in workover & well services (onshore).
IWCF Well Control (Supervisor/Level 4) in date; strong hands-on with BOP/pressure control.
Proven delivery of ESP change-outs/re-runs, recompletions, and CT stim/cleanouts; confident with fishing and well integrity diagnostics.
Solid understanding of barriers, fluids, and well integrity (MAASP, LOT/FIT, inflow/outflow tests).
Strong leadership and contractor management in multi-vendor environments.
Fluent in English for reporting; Arabic a plus.
