SVP Finance (Accounting-led / Controllership) — U.S. Data Centers (multi-site)
Location: Central or Eastern U.S. (remote/hybrid depending on proximity to leadership); travel as required
The mandate
This is a founding finance leadership seat for a confidential U.S. mission-critical developer scaling a multi-site greenfield build program. You will architect the U.S. accounting and controllership function for speed and control—clean close, audit-ready reporting, CAPEX governance, and scalable controls across multiple entities and projects.
What you’ll own (SVP-level; not transactional “hands-on”)
Controllership leadership: set the accounting operating model, close cadence, policies, and governance; ensure accuracy, pace, and executive visibility.
CAPEX & project accounting at program scale: establish best-practice treatment for construction-in-progress, capitalization policies, cost coding, and project controls interfaces so leadership can trust the numbers in real time.
Audit readiness from day one: drive external audit planning, documentation standards, controls design, and advisor management—built for growth, not retrofitted later.
Systems + process architecture: partner with FP&A, development/construction, and procurement to implement scalable workflows (PO/invoicing/approvals), reporting packs, and decision-grade dashboards.
Team build: hire and lead a high-caliber accounting/controllership bench that can operate at speed without breaking rigor.
What “great” looks like
You’ve built (or rebuilt) an accounting function inside capital-intensive environments: data centers, real estate development, infrastructure, energy, or similarly complex project businesses.
You’re a CPA (preferred) with deep technical accounting judgement—and the executive presence to set standards without micromanaging.
You are calm under urgency: you can run a tight close, govern CAPEX, and keep audit/control posture strong while the business moves fast.
You operate like an owner: high standards, high trust, low drama.
Why this is different
This is not a maintenance role. It’s the finance foundation for a U.S. platform build targeting state-of-the-art data centers at significant scale over the next several years.

Executive package structured for a leader who will serve as the senior finance authority in the U.S. for a multi-site build program.
