Job Title: Senior Operations Director – IOC Advisory
Position Overview:
We are recruiting a Senior Operations Director on behalf of a confidential global client, offering a high-impact role for a major Oil & Gas project in the Middle East. This position requires a seasoned leader with IOC experience to provide strategic oversight, optimize operational excellence, and drive safety culture for a large-scale refinery. The role includes a 1-year contract and is tailored for professionals adept at managing complex O&M challenges in international environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Advisory & Leadership: Act as the agency’s primary representative, advising the client’s refinery leadership on safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Oversee daily production, maintenance, and compliance with IOC management systems.
Operational Excellence: Lead root-cause analyses of safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency gaps. Implement solutions for PSM (Process Safety Management), OPEX optimization, and behavioral safety enhancements.
Team & Contract Management: Direct a team of consultants and subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with client policies. Manage contract performance, deliverables, and stakeholder relationships.
Strategic Oversight: Develop and execute work plans to address refinery unit challenges (CDU, FCC, hydrocracker, etc.), leveraging digital solutions and industry best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge gaps between client objectives, contractor performance, and operational realities, ensuring compliance with international standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
Experience:
20+ years in O&M for process industries / IOC Oil & Gas.
