Our client is a fast-moving developer/operator rolling out multiple 20–80 MW phases across Texas. They’re hiring a Senior Construction Manager to run day-to-day field delivery—clear schedules, clean quality, and predictable turnover to Commissioning & Ops.
Role snapshot
Own site execution from civil/structural through full MEP and white space. Keep trades aligned to the critical path, remove constraints fast, and protect energization dates in lockstep with Power Delivery and Commissioning.
What you’ll do
Turn IFCs into executable work packages; drive 3–6 week look-aheads and constraint removal.
Sequence MEP: MV/LV (gens, MV switchgear, UPS, PDU/RPP), mechanical plants (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, CW/DX) and controls (BMS/EPMS).
Enforce quality: ITPs, mock-ups, inspections; close NCRs/punch quickly; keep redlines/as-builts current.
Lead safety: PTW/LOTO, lift plans, hot works/confined spaces; track leading/lagging indicators with HSE.
Support commercials: manpower/sequence discipline; flag exposure and assist CO/EOT files with the CM/PM.
Interfaces: white-space build (racks, busway, containment) and liquid-cooling tie-ins (DTC/immersion) where applicable.
Reporting: daily log + weekly dashboard—critical path, earned progress, risks, decisions needed.
You bring
8–12+ years in mission-critical or large industrial builds; 2+ completed DC phases (≥20–60 MW) through TCO.
Proven GC/sub leadership on fast-track jobs; strong GMP/CO discipline and claims avoidance.
Comfortable bridging Construction ↔ Commissioning (L1–L5/IST, readiness gates).
Tools: P6 (or similar), Procore (or equivalent), BIM/VDC basics; crisp written updates.
Location & travel: Austin/Dallas base (hybrid) with 25–40% in-state travel.
Comp (guide):$160k–$215k base + 12–25% bonus (equity possible); full benefits & relocation.
Attach: phase list (MW & dates), top schedule recoveries you led, turnover/IST approach, earliest start.
