About the Opportunity
We are supporting the search for a highly experienced Process Lead to drive the technical delivery of a 100 MMscfd sour gas processing facility and associated trunk lines.
As Process Lead, you will play a pivotal role from project concept through FEED, EPC, commissioning and handover. You will be the single point of accountability for all process engineering activities on a landmark project set to deliver first gas within 24 months. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and shape one of the region’s most high-profile energy investments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all process engineering scopes from concept to operational support on a major greenfield sour gas development.
Oversee design and delivery of a 100MMscfd gas plant with SRU/acid gas injection, trunk and delivery pipelines, and power plant integration.
Manage and coordinate contractors and internal teams during concept, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC and commissioning.
Direct process safety (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA), ensure integration of vendor packages and process systems, and lead technical procedures/specifications.
Support construction and commissioning phases, acting as a key technical interface on site.
Drive best-practice in modular plant design, constructability, and delivery within aggressive timelines.
Mentor and develop local engineering staff, embedding process excellence.
About You – Core Profile
Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Lead Process Engineer on large-scale, onshore oil & gas projects, ideally for operator/EPCs.
Proven full-cycle project delivery of at least one major sour gas (high H2S) processing facility—EPC/EPCM experience essential.
Strong technical knowledge of 2/3-phase separation, crude stabilization, sulphur recovery, water/gas treatment, process controls & safety.
Hands-on expertise in construction, commissioning and operability of modularized plants.
Previous Middle East project experience required; prior Iraq/Kurdistan experience is highly advantageous.
Degree qualified in Chemical/Process/Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering; chartered status (CEng) preferred.
High proficiency with process design software (e.g. HYSIS, FlareNet); excellent communicator, solutions-driven, and able to work at pace.
Strong leadership, pragmatic approach and proven ability to deliver under pressure.
