Focal point for the delivery of consistent, accurate, quality-controlled reports from the company’s E&P department and champion of the underlying processes, data management and software. Develops, quality-controls and issues reports needed to effectively communicate with internal and externals parties, including government and partners. Implements and manages the required software for delivering said reports. Trains staff in the effective use of reporting software and processes.
Acts as the single point of contact for E&P reporting and issues all E&P reports
Working with the various disciplines of the E&P Department, develops periodic reports required to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including government and partners.
Develops and trains staff in the reporting workflows needed to consistently deliver said reports
Understands the technical content of all E&P reports to the extent that he/she can control for quality, accuracy, effective communication and acceptability from a stakeholder management point of view.
Puts in place and oversees workflows to ensure consistency, quality and acceptability of all E&P reports.
Fulfils the role of software champion in the E&P department
Becomes a super-user for highly proficient in reporting-related and data management software
Procures, implements and manages E&P software services alongside IT Department colleagues
Trains staff in the use of reporting-related software (e.g. Wellview)
Working alongside the IT Department, ensures the integration and compliance with company IT systems and policies
Manages license and subscriptions cost efficiently
Data Management
Develops, implements implements, and maintains an effective E&P data management plan system
Ensures data valuable to the company is captured in a consistent, accessible way and that staff are trained in how to contribute and benefit from these data.
Educational Requirements and Experiences required:
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Engineering or a subsurface-related discipline
Minimum 7 years’ upstream experience with an operator or major international oilfield services company. Exposure to (office, RTOC or field-based) wellsite operations (drilling, completions, testing, logging engineer; subsurface professional with adequate wellsite operations experience). A person who is conversant with the software and IT systems used by E&P departments in the office and the wellsite environment.
