Discipline: Oil & Gas
Job type: Permanent
Published: 12 days ago

Own the end-to-end commercial and post-award management for multi-discipline packages across LNG trains, storage tanks & marine works, gas processing, utilities, and electrification/decab scopes. You’ll steer sourcing strategy, tendering, contract placement, and claims/change control through mechanical completion and handover.

Key responsibilities

  • Set category strategy and sourcing plans for critical packages (cryogenic tanks, compressors, turbines, large switchgear/transformers, pipelines, E&I).

  • Run the full tender cycle (RFI/RFQ/ITT), bid clarifications, techno-commercial evaluations, recommendation for award, and contract drafting.

  • Administer FIDIC/LOGIC forms end-to-end: change orders, variations, extensions of time, claims avoidance/defense, and close-out.

  • Drive long-lead risk mitigation (expediting, inspections/FAT, logistics) and vendor performance KPIs with OEMs/contractors.

  • Align with engineering, construction, planning/cost, QA/QC, HSE, and legal to safeguard scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Ensure ICV/local content targets and ESG/supply-chain due diligence; manage framework agreements and frame pricing.

  • Produce executive dashboards (commitments, VOWD, cash flow, exposure, risks) and present to SteerCo.

  • Coach/lead a small team (buyers/contracts engineers), uplift processes, templates, and ERP discipline (SAP/Ariba/EcoSys).

Candidate profile (must-haves)

  • 10–15+ years in Oil & Gas C&P/Contracts with major EPC/EPCI packages (LNG/gas processing/offshore utilities preferred).

  • Deep working knowledge of FIDIC Red/Yellow/Silver and/or LOGIC; proven record negotiating high-value contracts and settling claims.

  • Strong commercial analytics (TCO, price escalation, FX/Incoterms, LDs, securities/guarantees, insurance).

  • Track record delivering savings without scope erosion and protecting schedule on live projects.

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or Law; MCIPS/ICW (or equivalent) is a plus.

  • Executive-grade communication, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship leadership.
