Job Summary: As a Commissioning Supervisor based in Basra, Iraq, on 28X28 Rotation, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating commissioning activities for oil and gas projects. Working closely with project stakeholders, you will ensure that commissioning operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate commissioning activities for oil and gas projects in the Basra region, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases.
Develop comprehensive commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules in collaboration with project teams and contractors.
Oversee the testing, inspection, and calibration of equipment and systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Lead and mentor commissioning teams, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Liaise with engineering, construction, and operations teams to address technical challenges and optimize commissioning activities.
Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for project handover to operations.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the commissioning process.
Provide training and development opportunities for junior commissioning staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commissioning operations within the oil and gas sector.
In-depth knowledge of oil and gas facilities, equipment, and systems, with specific experience in the Basra region preferred.
Familiarity with commissioning processes, procedures, and standards applicable to onshore and offshore projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Proven track record of managing commissioning activities for complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving project objectives while mitigating risks.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management software.
Relevant certifications or training in commissioning, safety, and project management (e.g., NEBOSH, COMPEX, PMP) preferred.
